From the North, off of Interstate 80 East or West:
From Interstate 80, take the MILESBURG/ALTOONA exit, (Exit 158) south towards Altoona. Travel south towards Altoona on the former “Alternate US-220 S,” now called “SR 3040.” Travel south on this road for 11.1 miles to Julian, PA. In Julian, turn right on Beaver Road and travel 1.3 miles to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left). Park below the Center in the field on the left as you enter. Walk over the bridge and up the dirt road to the buildings.

From the East or from State College:
Take US-322 West (overlaps US-220, and I-99 S) out of town about 4.5 miles. Take Exit 68 towards “Gray’s Woods - Waddle.” (There is a small sign that says "Skytop Mountain Rd." here too) Stay right on ramp and follow signs to PA 550. Travel straight about 1 mile (on SR-3042 aka "Skytop Mountain Rd.") to the intersection with PA 550, and turn right onto PA 550 towards Bellefonte. Travel straight about 2 miles and make your first left onto Julian Pike Rd. Travel on Julian Pike 3.7 miles (up and over the mountain) into the small town of Julian. At the first stop sign, travel straight ahead to another stop sign, and then make a right and a quick left over the RR tracks to the intersection with old Route 220, now called SR-3040. Go straight across this intersection onto Beaver Road and travel 1.3 miles to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left). Park below the Center in the field on the left as you enter. Walk over the bridge and up the dirt road to the buildings.

From the South off of Interstate 99 North:
While traveling north on Interstate I-99, take Exit 61. The sign here says “322 West, Port Matilda, Phillipsburg.” At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right at the sign that says “Milesburg, 18” and travel 0.5 miles to the small town of Port Matilda. Turn left at intersection (with the light) onto the old Alternate US-220, now called SR-3040, and travel straight north towards Milesburg. (A few miles out of Port Matilda, do not be confused by the signs and turns for US 322 E, I-99 N, and US 220 N; just stay straight towards Milesburg.) After traveling 8 miles (out of Port Matilda), you will be in Julian, PA. Turn left onto Beaver Rd. and travel 1.3 miles to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left). Park below the Center in the field on the left as you enter. Walk over the bridge and up the dirt road to the buildings.
