Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center offers programs for visitors of all ages, tailored to conservation education objectives. Groups up to 25 are preferred but the Center can accommodate larger groups upon request. Program times are flexible and include both weekdays and weekends. Appointments should be made through the School of Forest Resources, Office of the Director (814) 865-7541.

From the North:
From Interstate-I-80 take the Alternate US-220 S/PA-150 exit, (old exit number 23) towards MILESBURG. 0.2 miles ( 0.4 km). Merge onto Alternate US-220 S. and travel 11.1 miles ( 17.9 km) to Julian, PA. Turn right on Beaver Road and travel 1 mile to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left) Park buses below the Center in the field on the left as you enter. Cars may proceed up the driveway and park in the designated areas outside the Center. The Center is handicap-accessible, but please call in advance if you have special needs.


From State College:
Take US-322 W. (South Atherton Street) 4.8 miles out of town. After going up and over the sky-top mountain, take the Alternate US-220 N ramp towards I-80/MILESBURG. Merge onto Alternate US-220 and travel north 4.5 miles ( 7.3 km) to Julian, PA. Turn left onto Beaver Rd. and travel 1 mile to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left). Park buses below the Center in the field on the left as you enter. Cars may proceed up the driveway and park in the designated areas outside the Center. The Center is handicap-accessible, but please call in advance if you have special needs.

From the South:
While traveling north on Interstate I-99 Turn right onto Alternate US-220 just south of Port Matilda, PA. Travel on Alternate US-220 16.5 miles ( 26.5 km) to Julian, PA. Turn left onto Beaver Rd. and travel 1 mile to Laurel Haven Conservation Education Center (entrance on the left). Park buses below the Cen
ter in the field on the left as you enter. Cars may proceed up the driveway and park in the designated areas outside the Center. The Center is handicap-accessible, but please call in advance if you have special needs.
