Forestry Assistant – Clarion Highlands Region Pennsylvania

LandVest, Inc. St. Marys Timberland Division Office is looking to fill the position of Forestry Assistant for the summer of 2008. The primary management unit is comprised of +/- 32,300 acres centered around Johnsonburg and Mt. Jewett.

This position entails a primary field position working under our Regional Manager on this ownership as well as LandVest’s expanding business opportunities in PA. The Forestry Assistant’s duties will include marking of timber and buffer zones, GPS data collection and some forestry labor under the supervision of the Staff Forester and the Regional Forester.

Minimum coursework requirements are: dendrology, mensuration and silviculture. Background in western PA or southern NY would also be beneficial.
